Jill Holmes
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
BSc (Hons) MSCP
Jill qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1997 from University of Ulster and spent her first few years of post-graduate working life in the City Hospital here in Belfast. During this time she rotated through many medical disciplines and gained a very specialised training in musculoskeletal outpatients and orthopaedics heavily centred around trauma.
She moved to England, continuing to work in her chosen speciality of musculoskeletal outpatients combining NHS and private practice initially in London and later in Oxfordshire. The following twelve years extended her postgraduate training portfolio in spinal and peripheral joint dysfunction, soft tissue injuries, muscle imbalance syndromes, sports injuries and complex post-trauma injuries.
Jill joined the Formation Physiotherapy practice here on the Lisburn Road in 2019 after a career break that allowed her to spend time raising her two children and move back to Belfast.
She is currently studying with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), combining her long-standing interest in muscle imbalance and dysfunction and their role in musculoskeletal pain conditions.
